Highlight Reel (November 2018 Favorites)

I thought it would be fun if I took a moment each month to let you know what things are currently striking my fancy, so here goes the November installment!

CURRENT FAVORITES:

BOOKS:

This month, I listened to a few audiobooks, my new favorite pastime in the car! I listened to Lauren Graham’s Talking As Fast As I Can, Mindy Kaling’s Why Not Me?, and Ann Patchett’s Commonwealth.

I FINALLY finished reading Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Books! It took me ages, simply because the book was pretty dense with stories of Mowgli and his friends. It was really good, though!

I also read The Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs, which was another great book in the Miss Peregrine series!

MOVIES/TV SHOWS:

I started re-watching Gilmore Girls, one of my absolute favorites.

I also started watching Netflix Christmas movies because why not?

SONG:

Bring on all the Christmas music! My favorites right now are a few Spotify playlists I have going on repeat all the time!

Smiley Christmas (by Kendra Adachi)

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

‘Tis the Season

FOOD:

I made my own version of this meatless winter chili with zucchini for a get-together with my college roommates, and it was delicious!

These pumpkin honey cornbread muffins were so amazing! I made them for Thanksgiving, along with apple cider glazed sweet potatoes, and I was so sad when the leftovers of both were gone.

And as far as snacks for Black Friday shopping went, gingerbread paleo granola was where it was at!

MEMORIES FROM NOVEMBER:

Where has November gone?! I know I said that about October, but the same thing happened to November!

I had a reunion with my college roommates, which was so much fun! It’s always good to see them, and it was especially fun to spend time with my roommate’s new little baby and introduce my fiance to the girls.

I also got to go to a painting class with my fiance, which was a fun challenge for us both!

LOOKING FORWARD TO IN DECEMBER:

Christmas, obviously! Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! I love the food, the music, the lights, and the movies, and I can’t wait to enjoy them all!

What were some of your favorite things this month? I'd love to hear from you in the comments!

Later, lovely!Jessie (2).png
